AeroBrigham hits the road again during the Airborne Public Safety Association Annual Convention (APSCON) 2021 convention, 28-30 July in New Orleans, Louisiana to display the latest generation Heads Up Display (HUD) installed on the Air Tractor AT802 Fire Boss scooper fire bomber airplanes. Designed to reduce pilot fatigue, increase safety, improve mission efficiencies and situational awareness, the advanced thermal camera capable system is integrated exclusively at the AeroBrigham facility in north Texas. The system also has the capability to display other inputs such as night vison imaging.
The advanced HUD includes all primary flight data and thermal camera view, all on the retractable collector screen in the pilot’s view. Thermal imaging capability is especially helpful to pilots identifying fire hot-spots in a smoke laden environment. The system can also provide selectable information and data to the pilot such as traffic, weather and terrain display. Collected information and data is presented on the SKYDISPLAY™ HUD manufactured and provided by MYGOFLIGHT, based in Denver, Colorado.
AeroBrigham has integrated the HUD on four airframes with another fifteen Fire Boss airframes slated for completion prior to year-end.
AeroBrigham will showcase the new Fire Boss HUD during APSCON 2021 on exhibit #629 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana.
