South Albany Airport gets $1M to aid medical service

Around the clock, every day of the year, pilots and medical professionals with LifeNet of New York are standing by at the South Albany Airport ready to jump in their Eurocopter EC135 helicopter to pick up trauma patients. They pick them up from area hospitals and bring them to Albany Medical Center Hospital, the Burn Center at Westchester Medical Center – or perhaps Boston, depending on their medical emergency.
