The Ministry of Natural Resource and Environment (MNRE) in Thailand have ordered a Leonardo AW169. The aircraft was noted on Friday test flying in Italy in the full standard MNRE colour scheme.
MNRE have the responsibility for the protection and restoration of the nation’s natural resources, including forests, water, oceans and minerals.
Helicopter market intelligence firm Parapex Media report the current MNRE fleet as three Airbus AS350B2 and one AS350B3e, alongside one EC135T2+. One of the AS350B2s has not flown since 28th October 2021.
