Chase McCown has been named President of Spectrum Aeromed.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, McCown comes to Spectrum Aeromed a proven leader in aerospace industry operations. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and holds Master’s degrees in both Systems Engineering and National Security & Strategic Studies. McCown is a Distinguished Graduate of the U.S. Air Force Aircraft Maintenance Officer Course, ranking first in his class.
After early assignments maintaining the F-16, A-10 and B-2 aircraft, he was selected for a residency program as a National Security Fellow at Harvard University, He then supported and advised the four-star USAFRICOM Commander in Washington, D.C. as Deputy Director of the Combatant Commander’s Liaison Office. McCown was then selected to lead Maintenance Operations & Production at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, where he led a workforce of 4,500 rotational personnel supporting five different aircraft. McCown subsequently took on a similar role at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, directing all
maintenance activities on the Nation’s B-2 fleet.
Upon his departure from military service, McCown joined the aviation training and simulation company FlightSafety International as Program Manager & Director. He was promoted to Vice President (FSI-Defense) in 2020 and oversaw the company’s Defense portfolio of training and modification programs.
As President of Spectrum Aeromed, McCown’s strategic leadership skills and extensive operational and field experience will support the company’s focus on continuous improvement, growth and partnership within the air-medical industry.
