NASA and Joby collaborated with the FAA to develop five use cases for operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area.  The report describes how Joby aircraft could navigate between vertiports within a region with a high volume of conventional air traffic and provides recommendations for introducing Joby operations at DFW.  The objective of the effort was to evaluate the extent to which flights are possible in the current National Airspace System and identify whether existing approaches to expanding aviation operations will work for the proposed operations.  The findings indicate that initial operations are possible in busy airspaces, and that more work should be done to develop ways to scale operations.  NASA and Joby continue to collaborate on these important airspace topics.
