Four candidates were voted onto Helicopter Association International’s Board of Directors on Monday, Mar. 6, during HAI HELI-EXPO 2023 in Atlanta. The individuals were elected to the board by the designated member representatives of HAI’s helicopter operator members.

One individual joins the board for the first time, while three were reelected to their posts. The four directors, whose three-year terms begin Jul. 1, 2023, are:

• Nicole Battjes, Rainbow Helicopters, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA (reelected, helicopter operator, commercial aviation)
• Paul Gottwig, Los Angeles County Fire Department, Pacoima, California, USA (newly elected, helicopter operator, government services)
• Randal R. Rowles, Helicopter Institute Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, USA (reelected, helicopter operator, commercial aviation)
• Mark A. Schlaefli, Dakota Rotors LLC, Custer, South Dakota, USA (reelected, helicopter operator, commercial aviation).
