Large cities in the world such as New York and Sao Paulo have an extensive network of private helicopters for aerial tours, significantly boosting the tourism industry in their respective countries.

Thus, and with the aim of providing a tourist offer of unique helicopter experiences in Chile, eCopter is born -at the end of 2022-, a new alternative that responds to the B2C customers of Ecocopter, an aeronautical reference at national and regional level, which has been characterized during its 20 years offering passenger transport and cargo services to the industrial sector of Chile, Peru and Ecuador.

The Chilean aeronautical company seeks to deliver unforgettable overflights, revealing the surprises of the Chilean capital with its impressive skyscrapers, the foothills and the majestic mountains of the Andes, as well as the diverse landscape of the coast of the central zone.

“eCopter seeks to offer unique experiences that nourish the tourist offer that currently exists in Santiago, with first class aircraft and crews and at more competitive rates, allowing a greater number of people to enjoy our incredible aircraft, contributing professionalism, vanguard and diversification to the tourism sector in the Metropolitan Region”, says José Tomás Díaz, Business Development Facilitator Ecocopter.

The initiative contemplates that the passenger can enjoy an integral aeronautical experience, passing through the boarding lounge with a check-in, receiving a safety briefing by the crew, touring the helicopter hangar, and visiting the flight simulation and maintenance rooms of Ecocopter, to finally start the flight. All this with departure and return from the Tobalaba Aerodrome in La Reina.

“For this winter season, we have incorporated new circuits that include 20-minute stops in the Cordillera, specifically in the Laguna Negra and Olivares Glacier sectors, routes that have proven to be a great success. In addition, we have state-of-the-art aircraft and first-class crews, which allows us to provide the highest standards of safety and flight experience for our customers”, explains Díaz and adds, “We want this type of experience to become an attractive and real option within the panoramas that exist today in Santiago. Our tickets cost around US$ 112 per person for a 15 to 20 minute flight over Santiago, with a maximum helicopter capacity of five passengers”.

The challenge of eCopter is to boost the regional tourism industry, providing a world-class service, adjusted to the current times, bringing people closer to the exciting aeronautical world and making many dreams come true.
