The Urban Air Mobility (UAM) company Bellwether Industries (“Bellwether”) has confirmed its presence at the upcoming Dubai Airshow 2023 and will be debuting its latest eVTOL aircraft model.

The London-based mobility startup will be bringing a glimpse of what the future holds and the possibilities of a new lifestyle to the public eye through Oryx, its new prototype, which will set the precedent for this year’s show.

As a landmark aerospace event, Dubai Airshow gathers thousands of world-class industry leaders and promising startups together to exchange insights, witness cutting-edge technologies, and open up all kinds of opportunities to shape the world.

“We are delighted to once again be a part of this significant event, witnessing Bellwether’s continued impact and innovation within this domain,” remarked Daniel Chen, Founder and CEO of Bellwether Industries.

In 2021, Bellwether made its inaugural appearance at the Dubai Airshow, showcasing the secondgeneration aircraft model Antelope. This presentation garnered significant interest from aviation enthusiasts, industry professionals, potential collaborators, and policymakers alike.

“This year, our objective is to introduce an even more innovative aircraft design with the Oryx model, further heightening public awareness of this nascent category,” said Daniel, highlighting the company’s commitment to pushing boundaries in aerospace technology.

In anticipation of its debut at the Dubai Airshow 2023, Bellwether has been steadily unveiling details of Oryx since the previous year. Oryx is reportedly capable of transporting three passengers on an 80- kilometre journey in just 20 minutes.

Building upon the strengths of its predecessors, Oryx introduces a range of new features following multiple testing and refinement phases. Bellwether emphasises the incorporation of advanced carbon fibre composites, a meticulously crafted airframe, and the integration of two groundbreaking systems, all of which collectively elevate its performance in various aspects.

Notably, the Cognitive Flight Control System (CFCS) and the Adaptive Electric Propulsion System (AEPS), both engineered by Bellwether Advanced Mobility Solutions (“BAMS”), form the bedrock of the Oryx’s flight control mechanisms. These systems ensure flight stability and operational efficiency, ultimately enhancing passenger comfort and providing room for in-flight entertainment options.

Kai-Tse Lin, Co-Founder and COO of Bellwether Industries, announced that the company will introduce the BAMS brand in the Middle East. “This move signifies Bellwether’s commitment to orchestrating worldwide resources and expediting research and development in the region. The presence of BAMS in the Middle East marks a pivotal advancement for our products and underscores our strong belief in the region’s technology-centric approach.”

At Dubai Airshow 2023, Bellwether will participate in the 5-day exhibition at booth V67 from November 13th to 17th, displaying its unique aircraft model Oryx and promoting the new brand BAMS with innovative technologies.
