HeliTSA is expanding its suite of engine courses to include P&WC PW200 Series engine type training. With PW200 engines used in EC135, Bell 429 and AW109 aircraft, the new training services a broad range of operators.

The new course follows HeliTSA’s popular training model of covering an entire series in a single course. Across five days, maintenance engineers learn about the PW206 and PW207 engine variants, and how they interface with the various aircraft models they are fitted to.

“By covering an entire Series in a single type course, we provide a more cost-effective training program, as students do not need to sit any additional training to attain their desired licences,” says HeliTSA Director, Pep Sayabath. “That makes this a much-needed course for many engineers both here in Australia and across the Asia-Pacific.”

In-keeping with the HeliTSA model of training, students are taught by instructors who are experienced and current on type. This ensures course participants learn real-world skills and the latest maintenance practices.

Training for the new PW200 Series course takes place in HeliTSA’s newly built engine training rooms at their Brisbane CBD facility.

“With the expansion of our engine type course offering, we’ve expanded our facilities to provide students with the best possible training experience,” says Mr Sayabath. “Theory and practical training operate hand-in-hand each day, ensuring theory knowledge translates into new hand skills for participants.”

The first PW200 Series engine course runs from December 4–8 in Brisbane CBD, with more dates for early 2024 to be announced soon
