The American Helicopter Museum and Education Center (AHMEC) presents festive holiday cheer for the whole family beginning Friday, November 24, through Monday, January 1.

Opening the holidays is a wonderful world of trains from Friday, November 24, through Sunday, November 26, as members of the the North Penn O-Gaugers (NPOG), the Train Collectors Association-Atlantic Division (TCA-AD), and the East Penn Traction Club (EPTC) display and operate several of their layouts and answer questions. Additionally, the Museum’s Thomas the Tank Engine and L-shaped O-gauge layouts run by its volunteers complement the three clubs and continue through New Year’s.

Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at AHMEC on Saturday, December 9, at 11 a.m. for its annual SantaFest that begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. The jolly pair joins PAWS for People Therapy Dogs to greet good girls and boys and hear their holiday wish lists. Fun activities and music make this annual event enjoyable for everyone!

AHMEC is participating in the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Drive for the third consecutive year. The Museum offers discounts on admission, as well as museum gift shop toy purchases to help this worthy cause. Bring or purchase a toy costing $15.00 or more and get one free adult admission (one per group). Earn discounts on any purchase for Toys for Tots until Sunday, December 10. Discounts are only for items purchased and given to Toys for Tots by buying an item and placing it in the collection box.

“Visitors’ discounts on Toys for Tots purchases are 10% for $8.00 to $11.99, 20% for $12.00 to $19.99, and 25% for $20.00 and higher,” explained David Vanderhoof, AHMEC’s Retail Manager. “We’re proud that we are able to participate in this drive and hope that everyone who comes to the museum from now until December 10 will give to make these children’s holidays the best every!
