For decades, Bell has held an active presence in the European market by acting as a vital partner in providing innovative and high-performing aircraft for customers across the region. With hundreds of commercial aircraft groups, public safety, military, and HEMS customers, Bell continues to make its mark across the region.

At this year’s largest rotorcraft-only event, European Rotors 2023, spectators will experience a range of thought-evoking presentations with Bell (Booth #318), including a live Bell 412 firefighting demonstration conducted by the Spanish-based Pegasus Aero Group, a multitude of customer aircraft signing ceremonies, and a Bell 407Bell 429, and Bell 505 aircraft demonstration for prospective customers.

Various Bell subject matter experts will be discussing the future of simulation training, how Bell aircraft is elevating HEMS missions and the Bell 525’s role in offshore oil and gas operations.

“Bell is thrilled to see the growing interest for our aircraft among European customers to suit their diverse aircraft needs. Whether it’s a HEMS operator looking for an aircraft to complete search-and-rescue operations, an offshore operation looking for our next generation 525 aircraft, or a person wanting an aircraft for sightseeing adventures – Bell has what they need,” said Jacinto Jose Monge, Europe managing director, Bell. “With the Bell Training Academy located in Valencia and our other Bell Customer Support facilities throughout Europe, we continue to closely support our customers’ varying aircraft needs throughout the region.”

Bell plans to display Air Zermatt’s Bell 429 with a HEMS configuration and a Bell 505 with a corporate configuration for customers to get a first-hand look inside how Bell can take their missions to the next level.

Air Zermatt

Air Zermatt is a Swiss helicopter company that provides transport, rescue, and sightseeing operations across the Swiss Alps. Among their eleven-helicopter fleet includes two Bell 429s along with a third Bell 429 on order.

Each year, Air Zermatt carry out around 2,000 rescue missions, the vast majority of which are with the Bell 429.

The Bell 429’s spacious interior, flat flooring, and seven passenger seating makes it an optimal aircraft designed for passenger mobility and healthcare emergency services. With four rotor blades, the Bell 429 offers an exceptional level of smoothness – another significant benefit for HEMS operators who may be required to administer emergency treatment to patients whilst in the air.

Bell 505 – Corporate Configuration

Combining advanced avionics, customizable cabin space, and versality, the Bell 505 continues to be one of the fasting growing products among European operators in the corporate, public safety, and utility markets.

Pilot Bambi is a Netherlands-based fixed-wing and helicopter pilot who has a strong desire for adventure and travel. Earlier this year, Pilot Bambi headed to Germany to experience her first time flying in a Bell 505 where she details the demonstration, from her first look to take-off and landing in one of the most desired corporate aircraft in Europe.
