Helibiking in Chile is gaining more and more strength and the Andes Mountains have become an attractive mountain for lovers of this sport around the world. An adventure activity that combines mountain biking with helicopter transport and consists of climbing to a high and remote summit with a bicycle and then descend on trails or roads with varying degrees of difficulty and beauty. It is a way of living and enjoying spectacular landscapes and wild nature.

In this context Ecocopter in alliance with Andes Helibike have highlighted the great presence of lovers of this sport coming mainly from Europe, United States, South America and of course Chile. “The helibike is a unique activity that offers a different way to know our Andean nature and therefore our country. As Ecocopter we have aircraft that provide safety and versatility for this type of adventure, which combines adrenaline and an opportunity to live an unforgettable experience. We have all the safety measures required for this sport, and expert pilots, which allows our customers to access areas that would otherwise be inaccessible or very difficult to reach,” explains Francisco Arriagada, Ecocopter’s commercial manager.

Helibiking is not an activity suitable for everyone. It requires a level of experience and skill in mountain biking, as well as a good state of health and fitness. It is also necessary to have the proper equipment, both for the bike and the user. In addition, safety regulations must always be respected, both for the helicopter and the terrain. “We are offering guided descents on beautiful trails where cyclists have different options for skill levels, beginners, advanced and experts to enjoy. Depending on the choice of trail, riders can expect to ride from 10km to 20km of trails with an elevation drop of 1800 to 2300 meters on this incredible adventure,” indicates Diego Puelma, Andes Helibike.
