In this new cycle CLC will have a complete solution based on an Airbus EC-135 helicopter, in addition to a highly trained and experienced crew, constant preventive maintenance service, availability of the helicopter every day of the year and at any time (based at the heliport of Clínica Las Condes) and a contract adapted to the needs of state-of-the-art medical centers.

The air unit, available from this month for CLC, will be specially configured as HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service), allowing it to carry a stretcher for the rescue of patients, a medical assistance crew and clinical support equipment for the stabilization of the affected person.

Among its features, Ecocopter’s Airbus EC-135 HEMS has a range of up to 627 kilometers, a maximum speed of close to 300 km/h and the possibility of flying at an altitude of 10,000 feet (over 3,000 meters). This allows CLC’s emergency aerial rescue team to have a great deployment capacity, which includes access to hills, ski centers and the entire coast within the radius of action of the central zone.

Armando Weinberger, general manager of Ecocopter indicated that “today more than ever medical and rescue centers have the challenge of meeting a rescue time as fast as possible, where in addition to saving lives also significantly reduces the sequelae that may occur from late care, given the traffic in large cities is that the needs and capabilities that are needed, both for the private and public system today is key to have an air rescue system. In this scenario, public-private cooperation is essential given the capabilities needed, and today CLC is an important player in highly complex rescues”.

Ecocopter’s EC-135 HEMS for Clínica Las Condes will be on display during the week of professional visits at FIDAE 2024 and can be observed in detail by both the professional public and visitors to the main aeronautical fair in Latin America.
