Russian Helicopters continues to supply Mi-8MTV1 helicopters in civil market

[electronic translation] State Transport Leasing Company JSC (STLC) signed financial lease agreements with the airlines Yeltsovka Airlines JSC and KrasAvia JSC for the supply of 3 domestic Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters. Aircraft of this modification are manufactured at the Kazan Helicopter Plant of the Russian Helicopters holding company of the Rostec State Corporation.

The contracts were signed as part of the implementation of the STLC investment project to update the Russian helicopter fleet using funds from the National Welfare Fund (NWF). Acceptance of aircraft at the manufacturing plant and their leasing to airlines is planned until the end of 2024. Two aircraft are intended for the Yeltsovka air carrier, one for KrasAvia.

In total, STLC will supply 86 Mi-8 helicopters to domestic carriers under the investment project in 2023-2025.

Multi-purpose Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters have unique flight, technical and operational characteristics and can be used in almost any climatic conditions. “Eights” can perform a wide range of aviation work, including the transportation of cargo, passengers, sanitary evacuation, fire fighting, construction and installation work, search and rescue operations and many others.
