“These flight demos will enable operators to personally feel the major difference that a true 4-axis autopilot can make to the helicopter’s flight control performance.  They will experience its hands-off, feet-off capabilities and see how pilot workload is reduced while both mission efficiency and safety are significantly increased,” said Christian Blagborne, Technical Sales Manager for StandardAero’s Helicopters business unit.

The autopilot, developed in partnership with Thales and known as StableLight™, is installed in an AS350 helicopter, specially equipped with some of Thales’ latest avionics and located at the Convention Center Vertiport to provide customer demo flights during the exposition.

With StableLight™ now certified by the FAA, Transport Canada, ANAC Brazil and AFAC Mexico, the certification team is presently focusing on EASA validation to satisfy the keen interest expressed by operators and manufacturers in that region; EASA validation is expected by Q3 2025.

During Verticon, StandardAero and Thales invite AS350/H125 helicopter operators to request a demo time slot so they can also experience the future of flight safety and performance for themselves.

As of this writing, the flight test schedule is filling fast. If you are interested in this exclusive in-flight experience, contact Christian Blagborne at the following email and phone number to apply for a flight today:  christian.blagborne@StandardAero.com, +1-236-688-1934.
