Sacramento CA based operator Capitol Helicopters took delivery of a new Bell 412EPX from the manufacturer’s completion centre in Piney Flats TN on  Thursday 17th July after a delivery flight which started late on Tuesday 15th.

Serial number 39134 and registered N535NC, the 412 joins a fleet of around 20, made up of various Bell models – 205, 212 Eagle Single, 407, 407HP, 429 – and seven UH-60 Black Hawks.  Some of the latter fleet are still undergoing conversion for civilian use.

This operator predominantly flies utility and firefighting missions, and thus the 412EPX is fitted with hook, mirrors, etc and a huge full-door size bubble window for vertical pilot visibility of the load being lifted.
