Under the MoU, EHang and RACE intend to collaborate on initiatives that leverage RACE’s longstanding expertise in motorsport, safety, training, and high-performance mobility environments, together with EHang’s pioneering pilotless eVTOL aircraft systems and AAM operations. In addition, the cooperation aims to support testing, demonstration flights, ecosystem development, and public engagement activities.

As part of the cooperation framework, EHang and RACE will conduct demonstration and validation flights with EHang eVTOL aircraft in a controlled environment, including operations at Madrid Jarama – RACE Circuit. The parties will also engage in regulatory and safety dialogue with public authorities and mobility stakeholders, to progress with safety standards and regulations in the field of Advanced Air Mobility for its effective development and implementation. EHang and RACE will further carry out different communication and education activities to gain public awareness on AAM and sustainable mobility.

Ms. Victoria Xiang, EHang Chief Operating Officer for Europe and Latin America, said: “It is a great honor to join forces with RACE. With a heritage spanning over a century, RACE is a founding member of the FIA and stands as a global benchmark for safety and mobility services. RACE brings outstanding expertise in safety, high-performance operations, infrastructure management, and public engagement. By combining that capability with EHang’s proven pilotless eVTOL technology and operational know-how, we can accelerate the safe and efficient integration of pilotless eVTOL aircraft in real-world environments”.

For his part, the President of RACE, Mr. Carmelo Sanz de Barros, also in his capacity as President of the FIA Senate, stressed that the collaboration with EHang “is a decisive boost for the agenda of major milestones in motorsport and on the future of mobility planned for this year in Madrid which,  for the first time in history, it will host the two most outstanding World Championships on the international calendar: Formula E and Formula 1”.
