SPAES GmbH & Co. KG, an EASA Part 21J-approved Design Organization (DOA), has received an extension of its terms of approval to include avionics modifications for CS-25 aircraft. The expanded privileges enable SPAES to perform design and certification services for avionics upgrades and related modification with Antenna installation of pressurized cabin on large transport aircraft.

To achieve this expansion, SPAES trained the responsible personnel and implemented the required processes and procedures within its Part 21J manuals and management system.

SPAES has held CS-25 approval for cabin equipment for several years and has successfully delivered numerous projects in the areas of EMS equipment and cabin refurbishment. With the additional avionics privileges, including associated structural changes, SPAES now offers an expanded, comprehensive service portfolio for modification, refurbishment, and completion projects on CS-25 aircraft.
