The Northland Rescue Helicopter team were the proud recipients of an acknowledgment award for 20 years of safe operation. The award was received by Chief pilot Peter Turnbull at the Rotortech Conference that was held last week. Northland Rescue Helicopter has received, through community funding, all-weather landing pads for Whangarei Heads, Ruawai and Kerikeri. Other communities are following suit, reports NZ Herald, and are planning on building the same helipads.
