United Rotorcraft, an Air Methods Division, is pleased to announce it will unveil a new air ambulance product at HELI-EXPO 2012. Located in booth 8063, United Rotorcraft will unveil the Medical Transport Module (MTM), which is an all inclusive cabinet that attaches to the floor of an aircraft and includes advanced life support systems such as oxygen, compressed air, vacuum and AC/DC power.

The MTM also integrates a pivoting loading system that can be adjusted fwd/aft and pivot greatly simplifying the loading process. The MTM is designed to fit in airframes that have flat floors and enough space for a standard litter. The MTM is being unveiled in an AgustaWestland AW169 mock up which AgustaWestland provided for United Rotorcraft.

Additionally, United Rotorcraft will unveil an existing product that has been re‐engineered to load into the AW169 without any lifting. The Roll‐on/Roll‐off (EZ‐Lift) solution is currently available for the Bell 429, EC145, and EC130, and will now be available for the AW139/169 should an operator require a “true” roll‐on solution. The existing EZ‐Lift also includes an adjustable headrest that is FAA‐approved for head up during Taxi, Take‐off, and Landing, which is an industry leading capability.

United Rotorcraft is pleased to have the endorsement of AgustaWestland by being selected to develop this interior mock‐up from an “operators” perspective with decades of experience in operations. “The products reinforce our capability to design, engineer, and manufacture innovative products 100 percent in house giving us total control over functionality, quality, and schedule,”said Jim Fisher, Senior Director of Operations.

The medical interior mock‐up for the AW169 includes several design features including a machined aluminum floor, modular medical cabinet, the MTM with a standard litter, a roll‐on‐roll‐off solution, window well equipment racks, and NVIS lighting kits. The new products and mock up can be seen at booth 8063.
