HeliOnline.de is reporting that German automotive group Brose has taken delivery of a new AgustaWestland AW109SP GrandNew. Serial number 22261 and registered D-HBFS, the two-tone grey corporate helicopter was noted at Munich’s Franz Josef Strauss International Airport on Tuesday last week. The company’s main plant is at Coburg.
The company currently flies a Eurocopter EC135 D-HBHS and a Eurocopter EC120 D-HMRS. It is not known whether the GrandNew replaces or supplements either or both of the existing aircraft.
Brose is the fourth largest family-owned automotive supplier in the world, with a turnover in excess of 4 billion euros. More than 19,000 employees work for Brose at 52 locations in 23 countries. The company history traces back to formation by 24-year-old Max Brose who set a trading company for automobile accessories in Berlin in 1908. See also www.brose.de
