On 9 September 2012, Jämtlands Flyg’s lead pilot Ulf Grinde made history by passing 30.000 hours airborne time. The astonishing milestone was achieved during a water sampling operation near Lake Uddjaure, south of Arjeplog. Ulf has gained slightly less than 8.000 hours in fixed-wing airplanes and the remaining 22.000 hours in helicopters. This flight time (airborne time, not engine or rotor time) equals up to 3 years, 5 months, 4 days and 6 hours in the air!
