Although they have not stated which helicopters would be involved, the Royal Malaysian Air Force are reportedly planning to upgrade two helicopters to full AEW Airborne Early Warning specification.  This comes at the same time they are talking to Saab about their Erieye system to fulfil a fixed-wing AEW requirement, potentially hosted on Saab 2000 aircraft.  Saab also released this Swedish-only press release about a link up with local company DRB-HICOM
