PZL-Świdnik SA, an AgustaWestland company, is showcasing the AW149 multipurpose military twin engine helicopter at MSPO 2013 (Kielce, Poland – 2/5 September), following its demonstration during the recent Radom Air Show-2013, where the aircraft was presented in both the flying and static displays. PZL-Świdnik is offering the AW149 helicopter, based on a common platform, for the 70 multi-role aircraft Polish Armed Forces tender

The latest achievement of PZL-Świdnik and AgustaWestland engineering teams, the AW149 has been designed and developed in the last few years. It is a new generation helicopter that meets the most stringent military requirements. The AW149 offers a comprehensive solution allowing for considerable savings throughout the product’s entire life cycle.
Nicola Bianco, Managing Director, PZL-Świdnik SA said, “We are confident the AW149 helicopter is the best solution able to meet the needs of the Polish Armed Forces as well as many other Armed Forces that are looking to modernize their fleets. Produced by PZL-Świdnik, the AW149 will also be offered in foreign markets, thus increasing Polish exports and strengthening the national economy.”
Since the very beginning, PZL-Świdnik engineers have been actively participating in the AW149 development and will continue to work on the programme. PZL-Świdnik is already responsible for the AW149 fuselage design and production. The first helicopters for the Polish Armed Forces will roll off the final assembly line built in PZL-Świdnik.
