Greater Sudbury hopes to house one of the most state-of-the-art pilot and helicopter maintenance training centres. The proposed centre will be available to pilots and maintenance crews from both Canada and the US.
Coming to an estimated $70 million, the centre will have courseware development and two multi-engine level D full-flight simulators and two single-engine level D full-flight simulators. They have secured funds through private partners and will continue to the federal and provincial government for help. Aircrew Training Canada Limited have a site earmarked at the south side of the city for the centre, reports The Sudbury Star.
