Russian Defence Ministry Looks towards Arctic Mi-38 Variant

Russia’s Defence Ministry is looking to purchase new Mi-38 helicopters for their Arctic operations. Russian Deputy Defence Minister, Yuri Borisov visited Kazan Helicopter Enterprise and stated how the Mil Mi-38 will be the perfect middle ground between the Mi-8 and the Mi-26. The Mi-38 has TV7-117V engines with integrated digital flight navigation systems and is able to fly in a number of different terrains, reports Tass.
