Horizon’s Regional Council recently voted against funding a rescue helicopter service. Councillor David Cotton has said paying Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter will open up a Pandora ’s Box, as other services will also request funding. The public showed great support for the cause. But as the vote was six against to five for, the council will not be funding the service, reports Stuff.
