Residents of Rotorua have joined together in forming a new trust to try and re-establish their rescue helicopter service. The BayTrust Rescue Helicopter was shut down in October. Over 500 residents met at the hangar, arguing that the service remain. The proposed trust has filed legal documents for charitable trust status and will then be moving onto formal registration, reports NZ Herald.
