CPI Aerostructures, Inc. (“CPI Aero(R)”) (CVU 9.19, -0.05, -0.54%)Â announced today that it has received a purchase order from Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation valued at approximately $680,000 for the S-70B(R) SEAHAWK(R) helicopter. CPI Aero will be providing Penguin Missile Launcher assemblies. Delivery of these parts will begin in early 2011. Sikorsky is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (UTX 72.50, -0.36, -0.49%) .
The S-70B SEAHAWK weapon system provides international navies with a modern, battle-proven, in-use, low-risk Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) / Anti Surface Warfare (ASuW) mission solution. The weapons management system has a flexible open architecture capable of integrating indigenous weapons and mission equipment.
