North Carolina’s Dept of Transportation (NCDOT) recently put a little-used S76C++ up for sale on eBay – but the auction has closed with no bids received.  The reserve price had been set at $1.5 Million, and they allowed just one day for potential visitors to come and inspect the helicopter and all its associated paperwork – perhaps each of those facts conspired against the sale.  The 1998 aircraft has just 1855 airframe hours and 4178 landings.

The S76 remains at Raleigh-Durham International Airport with the NCDOT looking at new ways to dispose of it, or flexing its thoughts on reserve price etc
