Helicopter remained upright in heavy landing.  Fire reported.  One report states “Charles Zimmer, 34, the registered owner of the aircraft, was pulled to safety and treated at the scene before he was flown to Miami Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries. His wife, Krista Zimmer, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.” Another report said that Mr Zimmer died of his injuries a few days later.

The couple left two children according to this report, which also includes a large series of images of the burned out wreck. Investigation of these images indicates that the accident happened at the registered address of the aircraft

The NTSB preliminary report noted “A ½-inch coaxial cable that ran from a power-pole on the street directly to the home was severed and laying on the ground to the left and right of the main wreckage”
